About The Position

NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island is seeking a Field Nurse, Home Care - Per Diem (Per Visit) for the Garden City/Nassau Territory. This role involves practicing in accordance with the ANA's scope and standards of nursing practice, using clinical expertise to plan and deliver safe, therapeutic, and population-specific patient care. The nurse will incorporate the unique characteristics and needs of each patient and family into the care delivery process, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to promote wellness and optimize patient outcomes. The position also involves providing leadership by orienting, mentoring, and managing team members to ensure quality care is delivered with compassion, dignity, respect, and efficiency. Participation in performance improvement initiatives is also expected.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required for employees hired after 9/1/2020
  • Current and valid New York State Registered Professional Nurse license.
  • Current and valid BLS certification.
  • Knowledge of standards of practice for all areas of patient care.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), organizational, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors Degree Nursing.
  • 1 - 2 years Nursing.
  • Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
