About The Position

Bimbo Bakeries USA is hiring a Field Merchandising Representative to service store accounts and support sales of its bakery products. The role involves merchandising and rotating products, building displays and shelf space, executing promotions, developing customer relationships, and pursuing new account opportunities. The representative also handles route settlement, inventory, paperwork, deposits, and safe operation of a company route truck.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
• Must be able to acquire and maintain a DOT medical card.
• Must be able to obtain a Chauffeur License if the job location is in Indiana, Michigan, or Tennessee.
• Must be able to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records, consistent with U.S. Department of Transportation regulations.
• Ability to climb, push or pull, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods, as well as reach frequently and use fingers.

Nice To Haves

• 1–3 years of related experience in Direct Sales Distribution (DSD) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Merchandise and stock products on store shelves and displays, ensuring proper rotation, quality, and freshness.
• Drive sales by securing new display space, setting up incremental displays, and using sales data to inform store-level strategies.
• Follow up on new account opportunities, build customer relationships, and ensure promotions are executed.
• Introduce new products and services to maximize sales and shelf space within existing accounts and when pursuing new customers.
• Conduct daily route settlement procedures to account for products, invoices, and cash, and maintain proper inventory counts.
• Safely drive the company route truck and complete daily Department of Transportation logs.
• Submit required documentation, paperwork, and deposits on time.
