About The Position

Kokosing is seeking a Field Mechanic responsible for the repair and maintenance of large and mid-size construction equipment. This role involves diagnosing and repairing various components of heavy construction equipment in a field environment, ensuring machines operate safely and efficiently. The mechanic will also utilize laptop computers for diagnostics and information, complete service reports, and participate in company training programs.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience preferred
• Valid CDL driver’s license preferred
• Basic welding skills desired
• Crane knowledge a plus
• Desire to take on new challenges
• Available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends

Nice To Haves

• Two-year technical degree in diesel technology, heavy equipment mechanics, or similar preferred

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance on midsize equipment, including aerial lifts, forklifts, telehandlers, generators, welders, air compressors, pumps, message boards and arrow boards.
• Diagnosis and repair transmissions, engines, differentials, electrical and hydraulic components associated with heavy construction equipment in a field environment.
• Utilize a laptop computer for information and diagnostic purposes for the safe assembly and disassembly of components.
• Write and complete service reports.
• Participate in company training programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
