About The Position

Benchmark Companies is seeking a dependable heavy equipment field service technician/mechanic for work in its land clearing and mulch manufacturing divisions. This position offers a steady, full-time schedule, a laid-back atmosphere, and growth opportunities. The role involves scheduled preventative maintenance and equipment repair for a fleet of construction and forestry equipment, including excavators, dozers, wheel loaders, and horizontal grinders. Applicants must be able to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair machines, seeing repairs through to completion. The average work week is 55 hours, with pay based on experience and skill level. Some travel may be available at certain times of the year. The ideal candidate is a well-organized self-starter with good communication skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to quality work. Experience or schooling on modern diesel engines, computer systems, electronics, drivetrains, air brakes, and DEF systems is required. The ability to pass a mandated Department of Transportation physical exam and a clean drug screen is also necessary.

Responsibilities
