About The Position

The Measure Technician (In-Home Advisor) works independently in a traveling field role supporting The Home Depot’s Field Services Organization. The role provides professional customer service that meets or exceeds company standards and customer expectations. Responsibilities include conducting in-home measure appointments, building and maintaining customer relationships, supporting sales and product inquiries, taking measurements, and coordinating installations through the Measurement Services center Field Services Organization. The technician provides a positive customer experience through accurate measurements and calculations, quote review, and quote presentation. The position primarily involves traveling to appointments within a predefined geographic area, though it may also provide services support to company locations. Work is completed using company-issued devices. The role focuses on customer service, measurement accuracy and timeliness, and sales productivity.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Reliable transportation.
• At least 1 year of previous related work experience.
• Knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through completing a high school diploma and/or GED.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily routes for pre-assigned measure appointments as efficiently and accurately as possible.
• Ask customers open-ended questions and listen to their responses about projects and product needs.
• Describe merchandise features and benefits and explain the steps involved in completing projects.
• Demonstrate product and services knowledge when answering customer questions.
• Identify opportunities to engage customers in other services programs.
• Cooperate with associates, supervisors, and managers to complete other assigned work activities.
• Follow company policies and procedures and adhere to the work schedule.
