About The Position

Communication Technology Services (CTS) is seeking a Field Manager or an experienced Lead DAS Technician in the Livermore, California area. This role is for an individual ready to advance their wireless career. The Field Manager I will typically work under the supervision of a Field Manager II as a Junior Field Manager until they are capable of managing a job independently. Key strengths for this role include leadership, problem-solving, tenacity, and a strong desire to learn the RF and technical aspects of the DAS business.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Physical ability to carry tools, materials, & ladders.
  • Ability to climb ladders.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lb as-needed.
  • Ability to perform daily required tasks.
  • Strong DAS background.
  • Proficient with PIM & Sweep Testing of both Coax & Fiber.
  • Competent with Fusion splicing and fiber optic testing practices.
  • Proficiency at operation and understanding of all functions of test equipment, to include RF, cable, and fiber test gear.
  • Computer skills should include understanding of MS Word, Excel, Projects & Google Mail.

Responsibilities

  • Understanding the logistics of materials needed, including ordering and inventory control.
  • Driving and tracking project schedules and understanding budget targets.
  • Assisting with change orders as needed.
  • Introduction to DAS systems commissioning & optimization practices.
  • Assisting with site surveys / data collection and producing bid documents on small to medium projects.
  • Assisting with Closeout document data collection and package completion.
  • Providing customer service while on the job site.
  • Adherence to all site & CTS safety standards.
  • Completing weekly reports/updates and approving time cards.
  • Leading install teams in stringing coax and fiber cable, including cable termination.
  • Performing PIM & Sweep Testing of both Coax & Fiber.
  • Performing fusion splicing and fiber optic testing.
  • Operating and understanding all functions of test equipment, including RF, cable, and fiber test gear.
  • Troubleshooting all systems to identify issues and recommend solutions.
  • Learning major carrier frequency bands, protocols, and terminology.
  • Learning to read iBwave Design documentation (Blueprints) and understanding installation components.
  • Familiarity with all CTS Products and Services.
  • Ensuring fully compliant installations by understanding building code.
  • Utilizing computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Projects & Google Mail.
  • Regional travel may be required.
