About The Position

This position is responsible for collecting confidential information and administering standardized questionnaires. The role involves independently managing administrative duties, including participating in conference calls and completing online trainings. The Field Lister will transmit data as scheduled, assume full responsibility for the use and care of project-issued equipment, and safeguard participant incentives, equipment, and materials against damage, loss, or theft. They will also be responsible for carefully tracking all participant incentives, submitting timely and accurate Time and Expense reports, and attending scheduled virtual meetings with the project team. A key responsibility is listing addresses electronically on a tablet in selected areas, traveling to these areas using a tablet and electronic map, and accurately identifying and recording address and location information for potential dwelling units. The role also includes editing completed work, reporting results, and successfully completing all training components.

Requirements

  • Must possess High School Diploma or GED
  • Possess effective communication skills through speech and listening
  • Fluency in English through reading, writing, and speaking
  • Available for entire training and data collection period
  • Must have a valid US driver's license and reliable personal automobile available for business use
  • Comfortable using RTI issued tablet, laptop, and other associated equipment
  • Access to password protected WiFi connection for data transmission and administrative responsibilities
  • Able to keep project information confidential
  • Willingness to work in various types of weather conditions and after dark
  • Previous Experience working on NSFG as a Lister

  • Computer skills, namely email and internet proficiency
  • Able to read and follow electronic maps

Responsibilities

  • Attending virtually scheduled meetings with other members of the project team
  • Listing addresses electronically (procedure to identify the sample for data collection) on a tablet (provided by RTI), in selected areas
  • Traveling to selected areas within the area using a tablet and electronic map
  • Accurately identifying and recording address and location information on a tablet about each potential dwelling unit
  • Editing completed work, and reporting the results of all activities
  • Successfully completing all components of training, including online courses and attendance at a virtual training
