E-Commerce Lister - Part Time
About The Position
The E-Commerce Lister is responsible for identifying and selecting donated products for sale online. This role involves thoroughly examining each product to determine its condition, manufacturer, and other pertinent criteria. The Lister will take detailed, clear, and appropriate photos, and write concise, appealing, and accurate descriptions to list items on the E-Commerce site, aiming to maximize sales. The position requires the ability to read tags on clothing, type proficiently, write creatively and articulately, and proofread descriptions for clarity, spelling, and grammar. The role also includes identifying, researching, and listing rare, collectible, or unique items, uploading photos, and cleaning/testing products as needed. Additionally, the Lister must maintain adequate physical endurance for industrial standards and a fast pace, including standing for long periods, using hands, reaching, pushing, pulling, and occasionally sitting, kneeling, squatting, and climbing. Stooping, bending, reaching, turning, twisting, and lifting up to 10 pounds (occasionally up to 25 pounds) are also required. The role involves meeting minimal posting goals, monitoring web site inventory and merchandise balance, general housekeeping, and following safety guidelines. The position establishes and maintains relations with the E-Commerce Manager, Systems Operation Manager, and CFO, as well as other workers in the E-Commerce Room and Plant.
Requirements
- Ability to read tags on clothing for entering information correctly for the item to be sold on E-Commerce.
- Must be able to type proficiently to list items accurately, comprehensively, with no typos or spelling errors.
- Ability to write creatively and articulately.
- Proof read all item descriptions for clarity, spelling and grammar.
- Ability to identify, research, and list rare, collectible and/or unique items.
- Ability to take acceptable digital photos for online listings.
- Must possess adequate physical endurance to work at industrial standards and fast pace.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; push or pull.
- Must be able to occasionally sit, kneel, squat, and climb.
- Must be able to regularly stoop, bend, reach turn and twist body and lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pound without assistance.
- Meet minimal posting goals, based on standard set by supervisor.
- Monitor web site daily for inventory count.
- Monitor balance of merchandise by category on site.
- General housekeeping and ensuring a clean, organized work and storage area.
- Follows safety guidelines.
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience and computer experience preferred.
- Must have good work habits such as acceptable attitude and punctuality.
- Must respond appropriately to supervision.
- Excellent typing, spelling and grammar skills required.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to work well with others in a close production environment.
