About The Position

SDMyers is seeking Field Inspection Technicians (FIT) to join their growing field team in Tucson, AZ. This role involves inspecting energized transformers and collecting oil samples for lab analysis, playing a crucial part in maintaining the power grid. The company offers a paid, 8-week training program to ensure technicians are fully equipped and supported. The position requires extensive travel, with technicians working outdoors in various environments and weather conditions, around live electrical equipment. Safety training, uniforms, PPE, and equipment are provided. The role is a solo field position requiring independence and integrity.

Requirements

• Mechanical or electrical experience preferred
• Ability to travel weekly (Monday–Friday), home on weekends
• Commitment to safety and a strong work ethic
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to pass a physical and drug screen
• Independence, integrity, and initiative
• Must be able to pass Hair Follicle drug test and BG check
