About The Position

SDMyers is hiring Field Inspection Technicians to join their growing field team in Richmond, VA. In this role, you will inspect energized transformers and collect oil samples that are shipped to their lab in Northeast Ohio. This role is essential in keeping the power grid running smoothly, and the company provides a paid, 8-week training program for all new technicians. The work involves being outdoors in various environments and weather conditions, working around live electrical equipment in industrial settings, and extensive driving. Technicians travel weekly from Monday to Friday and are home on weekends. The company emphasizes safety, providing complete safety training, uniforms, PPE, and equipment.

Requirements

• Ability to travel weekly (Monday–Friday), home on weekends
• Commitment to safety and a strong work ethic
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to pass a physical and drug screen
• Independence, integrity, and initiative
• Ability to pass Hair Follicle drug test and BG check

• Mechanical or electrical experience preferred
