About The Position

Field Inspection Technicians (FIT) are responsible for inspecting energized transformers and collecting oil samples that are shipped to our lab. This role is essential in maintaining the power grid's smooth operation. The company provides a paid, 8-week training program to ensure technicians are fully trained and supported.

Requirements

• Mechanical or electrical experience preferred
• Ability to travel weekly (Monday–Friday), home on weekends
• Commitment to safety and a strong work ethic
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to pass a physical and drug screen
• Independence, integrity, and initiative
• Must be able to pass Hair Follicle drug test and BG check

Responsibilities

• Inspect energized transformers
• Collect oil samples for lab analysis
• Represent SDMyers to customers in a solo field role
• Work outdoors in various environments and weather conditions
• Drive a company vehicle extensively
• Occasional air travel
