Field Inspection Technician
About The Position
SDMyers is hiring Field Inspection Technicians to join their growing field team in Redding, CA. In this role, you will inspect energized transformers and collect oil samples that are shipped to their lab in Northeast Ohio. This position is essential for keeping the power grid running smoothly, and the company provides a paid, 8-week training program for all new hires. The role involves working outdoors in various environments and weather conditions, around live electrical equipment in industrial settings, and requires extensive driving. Employees will be provided with complete safety training, uniforms, PPE, and equipment.
Requirements
- Ability to travel weekly (Monday–Friday), home on weekends
- Commitment to safety and a strong work ethic
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass a physical and drug screen (Hair Follicle)
- Ability to pass a background check
- Independence, integrity, and initiative

- Mechanical or electrical experience preferred
