About The Position

Purpose Brands, the parent company of Orangetheory, Anytime Fitness, Waxing the City, and The Bar Method, is seeking a Field Franchise Business Consultant to join its Corporate Anytime Fitness team. This is a great position for someone who is looking to expand their career, and join a company with a fun, fast-paced and inspirational culture. The Field Business Consultant will be responsible for informing, coaching, inspecting and inspiring franchisees to achieve operations excellence and drive unit-level profitability. The Field Business Consultants relationship starts the day the owner signs their franchise agreement and extends throughout critical stages of their journey. This includes providing on-site assessments and focused guidance to help franchisees achieve business objectives and drive unit level profitability. In addition to supporting new franchisees, the field business consultant may engage with existing locations to reinforce best practices, address operational opportunities, and contribute to overall system success. This is a great position for someone who has strong communication, coaching skills, passionate about fitness, and the ability to analyze and act on financial data to provide actionable insights. A successful Field Business Consultant will leverage experience in franchise business consulting, relationship management and KPI drivers. The position requires 50% travel.

Requirements

  • Financial acumen and analytical skills with a proven track record of driving revenue growth
  • Creative, out of the box thinking with a problem-solving mindset

  • Ability to work with and influence across a variety of personalities and situations.
  • Ability to influence without authority, servant leadership mentality.
  • MS Office proficiency, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
  • Strong ability to multi-task and juggle multiple locations in various stages of ownership

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a fitness, or business-related field.
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in the following: fitness industry, business industry, or franchising
  • Motivated & self-manager with a strong team orientation
  • Anytime Fitness brand knowledge
  • Proven personal training sales experience

Responsibilities

  • Successfully leverage persuasive data, information and learnings from the broader franchise to provide constructive feedback and encourage change.
  • Use financial information to help the franchisee gain insights into the profitability and performance of their business.
  • Leverage a keen understanding of what drives profitability in an Anytime Fitness unit.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge and expertise in the fitness industry and our operations.
  • Provide practical advice to help franchisees improve the efficiency of their operations.
  • Work collaboratively with the franchisees to develop a business/operational plan that includes specific goals with key initiatives and deadlines.
  • Create and review plans on a regular basis and provide expert evaluation, training, advice and recommendations.
  • Guide and support franchisees to grow their revenue and local market share in a way that is consistent with the company’s brand and marketing strategy.
  • Leverage coaching skills to help franchisees maintain their enthusiasm for the business and focus their attention on achieving higher levels of performance.
  • Leverage coaching skills including active listening, powerful questioning and goal setting.
  • Assist franchisees to continually improve their knowledge and learn new skills.
  • Communicate and reinforce compliance to minimum operational standards in an objective and balanced way.
  • Present informational presentations for franchisee training programs including New Franchisee training, Regional Training (Vitals), e-Learning and Annual Conference to increase program adoption.
  • Lead and support in-market workshops and operational training sessions designed to drive consistent execution and measurable performance improvements across locations.
  • Effectively balance the interests of both the franchisee and franchisor.
