About The Position

This is an 8.5-month term, full-time position located in-person at North Campus Edmonton. The University of Alberta, Faculty of Education, is seeking a Contract Field Experience Associate for the 2026-2027 academic year. The contract will begin in late August and conclude in early May, with a possibility of renewal. Contract Field Experience Associates (FEAs) are contract educators who contribute to the development and implementation of the Field Experience programs within the Faculty of Education. They are directly employed by the University of Alberta and work as part of the Field Experience team. The FEA team engages in Faculty liaison activities and works with students and staff in various capacities, including supporting individual Pre-service Teachers and University Facilitators, instructing undergraduate seminars, working with Mentor Teachers, and collaborating with Field Experience partners on professional development. A key role of the FEAs is to integrate theory with practice, bridging on-campus coursework with Field Experiences.

Requirements

An undergraduate degree.
Successfully taught in Alberta’s K-12 Public Education system.
Relevant graduate coursework in education.
Experience in supporting Field Experiences program.

Nice To Haves

A master's degree in Education is preferred.

Responsibilities

Participate in the development and implementation of Field Experience programs.
Contribute to Faculty liaison activities.
