About The Position

YMCA of Northern Alberta is seeking a part-time associate to serve as the first point of contact at our Kickstand integrated youth services hub (IYSH), ensuring that everyone feels welcomed. Associates play a key role in shaping a positive experience for our visitors. This position requires a flexible schedule to support youth and operations within the hours of 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Monday to Friday, excluding holidays.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Certifications: Standard First Aid & CPR-C
  • Flexible availability
  • Able to obtain a Police Information Check and Vulnerable Sector Check

Nice To Haves

  • Previous customer service experience is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Promote and facilitate a positive YMCA experience for anyone who visits Kickstand; role model YMCA values in each interaction by delivering service responsibly, honestly and with care.
  • Provide information on programs and services, process registrations for programs and provide support for events.
  • Offer tours and welcome community members.
  • Respond to all requests and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Respect the confidential information of members/participants/guests.
  • Adhere to the YMCA Experience Manual policies and demonstrate practices consistently, ensure that all YMCA Standards are met or exceeded.
  • Ensure work area (lobby, desk, and entry) is clean and maintained.
  • Follow YMCA Cash Handling Policy and processes.
  • Ensure the safety and security of everyone who visit Kicstand, follow the Centre’s emergency response procedures.
  • Monitors and reinforces member/guest behaviour in accordance with the Member and Participant Code of Conduct.
