Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, ecology, botany, or related natural resources field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in performing environmental inspections, or a willingness to learn.
  • Background and/or coursework in environmental field methods or biological science.
  • Ability to conduct inspections during bad weather conditions.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have active personal automobile liability insurance by the first day of employment.
  • Must demonstrate solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with an interest to learn and grow as a project team.
  • U.S. work authorization.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in performing stormwater inspections.
  • Background and/or coursework in environmental field.
  • Stormwater inspection experience in TX.
  • Having a 4wd and/or high clearance vehicle is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct stormwater inspections and environmental construction compliance monitoring in TX.
  • Compile available research data and evaluating applicability to specific project sites.
  • Vegetation mapping and habitat characterization.
  • General environmental inspections for compliance with applicable rules and regulations such as compliance with stormwater, hazardous materials, waste or wildlife regulations.
  • Construction monitoring.
  • Familiarity with construction PPE and following company safety protocol while conducting any inspections.
  • Work as a member of our team in the preparation of technical reports and studies including biological constraints analyses, wetland delineation reports, wetland permit applications, focused survey reports, threatened and endangered species permitting documentation, and biological resources technical reports.
  • Assembly and synthesis of data related to biological issues and impact assessment.
  • Coordination with internal staff and sub-consultants preparing technical reports.
  • Coordination with technical staff in document preparation, map and exhibit preparation, editing and production and distribution tasks.
