The National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) is seeking a detail-oriented, part-time Field Enumerator. This role supports the organization by collecting agricultural data on behalf of the United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA) National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS). The Field Enumerator plays a crucial role in serving agricultural producers by providing reliable, accurate, and objective statistics and information that farmers, ranchers, and rural communities depend on. The job involves interviewing farmers, ranchers, and other agricultural businesses in person or by phone, and sometimes traveling to designated fields to perform crop counts. The position requires maintaining a personal vehicle for travel and conducting work from a residence with an operable telephone free from distractions. NASDA is a nonpartisan, nonprofit association representing agricultural leaders from all fifty states and four U.S. territories, founded in 1916 with a mission to grow and enhance American agriculture.
