Field Enumerator - Currituck County, North Carolina, NC
About The Position
Work for the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture. The agricultural industry requires reliable information on production, supplies, marketing, prices, weather and a vast array of other inputs. Up-to-date information is essential in planning and administration of federal and state programs. Become part of the team that collects this data across North Carolina. Work includes interviewing farmers in person or over the phone. This is an intermittent, part-time interviewer position. Expect to work no more than 400-500 hours per year. During periods of data collection expect to sometimes work a full-time schedule. This position is a great second income or for those semi-retired.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must have access to a vehicle.
- Computer skills required.
- Must be comfortable approaching strangers and striking up a conversation.
- People skills and attention to detail are a must.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be a good self-starter.
- Must consent to a background and motor vehicle record check.
- Must pass a background check.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of agriculture helpful.
