The National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) is seeking a detail-oriented, part-time Field Enumerator to support their organization. This role involves collecting agricultural data on behalf of the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS). The position requires interviewing farmers, ranchers, and agricultural businesses in person or by phone, and occasionally traveling to fields for crop counts. The enumerator will maintain detailed records of interviews, crop counts, mileage, expenditures, and hours worked. The role is performed from a residence with an operable telephone and requires a reliable personal vehicle for travel. NASDA is a nonpartisan, nonprofit association representing agricultural leaders from all fifty states and four U.S. territories, founded in 1916 with a mission to grow and enhance American agriculture.
