The National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) is seeking a detail-oriented, part-time Field Enumerator. This role supports the organization by performing tasks related to agricultural data collection. The position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to work for an agriculture nonprofit that values its community and employees. Field Enumerators play a crucial role in serving agricultural producers by providing reliable, accurate, and objective statistics and information essential for farmers, ranchers, and rural communities. This involves actively interviewing farmers, ranchers, and other agricultural businesses either in person or by phone, and occasionally traveling to designated fields to perform crop counts. After data collection, enumerators are responsible for maintaining and delivering detailed and legible records of interviews, crop counts, mileage, expenditures, and hours worked. The work is conducted from a residence with an operable telephone, free from distractions, and requires the use of a personal vehicle for travel.
