Nationwide Power is seeking critical power field service professionals in the Atlanta, GA Area. Nationwide Power is a leading provider in the critical power supply industry, specializing in the sales and service of uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) and batteries, as well as supporting other critical power components like generators and switchgear. They build strong relationships with OEMs to offer quality and service, acting as a multi-brand supplier to meet specific customer needs. Their goal is to deliver the best customer experience by servicing and maintaining UPS, Power Distribution Units (PDUs), Bypass Cabinets, and Battery systems to ensure customers are always powered up.

Requirements

  • Minimum of an Associate's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering technology or a related field
  • At least 4 years of experience in servicing, troubleshooting, installing, and maintaining critical power or similar equipment
  • Willingness to learn technical skills through various training methods
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Self-motivated and able to independently manage workload
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • A valid driver’s license with auto insurance is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of factory training or equivalent in the repair and maintenance of multiple leading UPS brands is preferred.
  • Previous experience in critical power field service.
  • Proficiency in the use of electrical/electronic test equipment and understanding of fundamentals.
  • Capability to read and interpret electrical line diagrams and schematics.
  • Understanding of OHM's law and electronic theory.
  • Skill in evaluating the operating conditions of equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Independently schedule and conduct preventative maintenance services.
  • Respond to emergency calls 24/7 when necessary.
  • Troubleshoot critical power systems to identify root causes and carry out repairs efficiently to minimize downtime.
  • Adhere to job requirements and strive for accuracy in all tasks.
  • Focus on preventative maintenance as a Critical Power Professional™.
  • Aim to achieve Zero Defects (ZD) and eliminate costly errors.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through effective communication and education on equipment operation.
  • Maintain and secure company tools and equipment.
  • Keep personal vehicle in safe condition and maintain current insurance and licenses.
  • Support sales opportunities by recommending critical power equipment and related products.
  • Submit all necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Provide guidance and training to less experienced team members.
  • Attend product-specific training sessions and assist with equipment commissioning.
  • Handle battery installation, removal, and disposal procedures.
