About The Position

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Field Engineer to maintain, adjust, isolate, remove, and replace faulty hardware on Operational Flight Trainers (WSTs) and Avionics Desk-Top Trainers (AVDTTs) that support the Combat Rescue Helicopter (CRH) training program. The role involves performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on various trainer components including host computers, image generators, visual displays, input/output systems, electric/hydraulic control loading and motion systems, computer networks, and associated electronics. The candidate will be responsible for reporting and documenting all hardware system actions, performing operational checkouts and preventive maintenance, and completing On-the-Job (OJT) training requirements. Additionally, the role requires completing maintenance data collection records, supporting modifications to trainers, and adhering to all site safety and security policies. The position emphasizes quality, pride, ownership, and strong attention to detail in all tasks. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Requirements

Field engineer on other related training systems
Skills reading electrical and mechanical drawings
Strong background of PC based computer repair
Support sub-contractors with technical knowledge of system operation and design during modification and testing
Able to write, review and update Contractor Operating Instructions’ (COIs) and Work Instructions (WIs) related to the maintenance section.
Strong working knowledge of Maintenance Data Collection (MDC) database
Skilled with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
Skilled in use of simple software commands to support fault isolation
Understand, speak, read, and write English
Able to lift over 25 LBS
Able to work at height’s above 10 feet
Able to obtain and maintain secret security clearance
Able to obtain and maintain Security + certification
Must be a US Citizen for consideration of security clearance.

Responsibilities

Maintaining, adjusting, isolating, removing, and replacing faulty hardware on Operational Flight Trainers (WSTs) and Avionics Desk-Top Trainers (AVDTTs).
Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on host computers, image generators, visual displays, input/output (I/O), electric/hydraulic control loading systems, electric/hydraulic motion systems, computer networks, and associated electronics.
Reporting and documenting all hardware system actions related to equipment malfunctions, modifications, removal, installation, fault isolation, and repair.
Performing operational checkouts and preventive maintenance utilizing work instructions and technical manuals.
Completing On-the-Job (OJT) training requirements/program as directed by the CLS Maintenance Manager.
Completing maintenance data collection records on equipment associated with trainer and support equipment.
Performing additional duties as directed by the management team, which may include bench stock, tools (CTK), test equipment, Air Force Technical Order (AFTO) 781 forms, etc.
Establishing and maintaining positive and courteous relationships with all military and civilian personnel related to this program.
Supporting modification to trainers as directed by management.
Complying with all site safety and security policies and procedures.
Completing all assigned tasks with quality, pride, and ownership.
Demonstrating strong attention to detail in every aspect of daily taskings.
