About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Field Engineer IV to manage the start-up and commissioning of new refrigeration and gas processing facilities. This role involves leading troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance for complex gas compression systems, mentoring junior engineers, and overseeing documentation processes. The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge of refrigeration and control systems, strong project leadership skills, and a commitment to safety. This position requires a willingness to travel extensively and work independently while maintaining strong client relationships.

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of refrigeration and control systems.
  • Proficient in reading wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings.
  • Proven project leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong focus on safety and compliance.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Skilled in diagnostic tools and software.
  • Knowledgeable in screw compressors and basic electrical troubleshooting, including ammonia refrigeration and Freon systems.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with clients and team members.
  • Highly motivated with a willingness to travel for work.
  • Maintains an organized worksite and company equipment.
  • Works well in a team and meets deadlines.
  • Displays leadership qualities and a proactive, professional attitude.

  • Minimum CARO RETA Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Manage start-up and commissioning of new refrigeration and gas processing facilities.
  • Lead troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance activities for complex gas compression systems.
  • Mentor junior field engineers and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Write detailed work order reports and oversee documentation processes.
  • Participate in project planning and resource allocation.
  • Analyze and resolve advanced mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Conduct training sessions for technicians and customers on equipment operation and advanced troubleshooting.
  • Act as a key point of contact for customers regarding technical issues and service needs.
  • Develop service strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and efficiency.
  • Ensure organization and cleanliness of job sites and equipment.
  • Document service calls and maintain accurate records of service performed.
  • Follow safety protocols and company policies during all service activities.
  • Create, update, track, and complete commissioning reports.
  • Comply with all Mayekawa company policies, procedures, processes, work instructions, and guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
