Field Specialist IV

As a Field Specialist IV (API 653 Field Technician Foreman), you are playing a key role in leading and facilitating the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of API 653/570/510 inspections for above-ground storage tanks and pressure vessels. You are ensuring operational excellence, maintaining high inspection standards, and supporting customer success through technical accuracy and strong field leadership.
Requirements
- 5 years of field inspection experience
- API 653 certification
- Ability to maintain strong working relationships with coworkers, management, vendors, and customers
- Willingness to travel up to 75%, including short-notice and overnight travel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to pass background checks and drug testing (including random testing)
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a passport and TWIC card
- Comfort working at heights and in confined spaces
- Knowledge of or certification in MFL, UT, MT, VT, PT, and other NDE methods as required
Responsibilities
- Maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring proper safety procedures and equipment are being used
- Performing inspections in accordance with API 653 and related industry standards
- Documenting inspection activities following company and customer guidelines
- Recommending repairs and inspecting completed repair work as required
- Managing clear, accurate, and professional communication with customers and office teams
- Leading and directing field crews to complete projects efficiently
- Making quick, informed decisions on the job to ensure successful project completion
- Completing all required training within company guidelines
- Performing additional duties as assigned
