About The Position

Ampcus Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Field/Computer Technician to join their team. This role involves responding to service requests to repair laptops and desktops throughout the metro area and surrounding locations. The position requires extensive travel, with assignments including repairing laptops and desktop computers, replacing components like hard drives, motherboards, and keyboards, performing whole-unit swaps, repairing or replacing PC peripherals, diagnosing and resolving hardware-related issues, and closing service tickets in real-time using a company-provided phone and client's call management system.

Requirements

Must have your own reliable vehicle and valid car insurance.
Must have reliable transportation for extensive travel throughout the metro and surrounding areas.
1+ year of hands-on experience with laptop and desktop break/fix.
General knowledge of laptop/desktop hardware and software.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications.
Ability to resolve basic/non-complex technical problems as directed.
Must be able to complete required product training.
Must be able to pass drug and background screening.
Client and/or governmental clearance may be required.
Police or criminal background verification clearance may be required.
Candidates must have a reliable computer and high-speed internet connection at home for work-related activities.
A+ certification is required by the client.

Computer-building experience preferred.
