The Field Electronic Technician 2 is a critical role in maintaining the functionality and reliability of oilfield equipment. This position requires technical expertise, safety awareness, and the ability to train and mentor junior team members. Performs regular and scheduled maintenance on hydraulic fracturing equipment to ensure it remains in good working order. Conducts repairs on equipment in the field using hand and power tools. Installs and configures electronic and electromechanical equipment and instrumentation. Assembles, installs, or repairs wiring, electrical, and electronic components. Suggests improvements for better utilization and operation of equipment and encourages employees to provide feedback. Travels to locations to perform emergency repairs on electronics and equipment. Diagnoses electrical problems and determines solutions using wiring schematics, repair manuals, and part catalogs. Inspects, operates, and tests equipment and components to diagnose malfunctions. Tests equipment at the manufacturer’s facility to ensure it meets company standards before field deployment. Documents repairs, inspections, and testing for all equipment. Maintains a safe work environment, adhering to all QHSE requirements at all times. Mentors and trains less experienced Electronic Technicians. Helps train operations personnel in the proper use and care of related equipment. Performs other related duties as requested.
