Performs and completes all essential functions required of Level 2 Electronic Technicians. Demonstrates knowledge of all related tools and software. Uses engine and transmission diagnostic software effectively. Performs instrumentation preventive maintenance (PM) and emergency repairs as needed. Repairs, troubleshoots, and maintains 12V and 24V DC systems. Identifies, builds, and repairs various cable types. Troubleshoots, replaces, and calibrates sensors. Understands specific hydraulic and pneumatic components and systems, including troubleshooting and replacement. Reads and interprets hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system schematics. Troubleshoots control system issues and replaces components. Assists with troubleshooting and repair of engine and transmission electronics. Reads and interprets engine and transmission schematics. Tunes and edits control software settings and assists with system upgrades. Troubleshoots complex network and equipment issues. Coaches and mentors' others on cable repair and building. The Electronic Technician 2 role requires technical expertise in troubleshooting and maintaining NexTier equipment. This position is vital to ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and operational excellence while mentoring junior technicians.
