Our Field Service team provide on the ground support to homes and business around the country. As a Trainee Field Technician, you’ll be a trusted and familiar face in the community, using technology to solve real-world problems while building hands-on skills and experience that set you up to grow your career.

About the role
As a Field Delivery Telecommunications Trainee, you will work alongside a mentor offering you ongoing coaching, support and mentoring during your traineeship. You will get hands on training while providing our customers with a great experience by activating and assuring telecommunications / technology products and services, in homes and/or businesses. You will actively participate in a diverse team environment to deliver the optimum customer and commercial outcomes aligned to Telstra's Behaviours & Habits and corporate strategy.

The expectation is to reside in the targeted area or be willing to relocate.
Locations: NSW- Forster QLD- Roma, Gatton
This is a Fixed-term role for 12 months with opportunity for permanency thereafter.

Requirements

• Hold a current driver's licence.
• Physically fit for the role.
• The ability to undergo pre-employment medical and drug alcohol screening.
• Ability to undertake a police check.
• Professional and polite communication.
• Enjoy working in a team environment.
• Positive attitude and safety-first approach.
• Be technically minded.

Nice To Haves

• No prior qualifications needed.
• Language, Literacy and Numeracy assessment undertaken by RTO.
• Telstra can support you through offering training on Traffic management, Working With Children Check and white card certificates.
