About The Position

This is a 100% travel role where candidates will independently drive or fly to commercial properties to capture precise data. This includes using 3D cameras, laser measurement tools, and specialized software to document building measurements, sprinkler and HVAC locations, windows, signage, landscaping, utility meters, dumpsters, parking details, and interior/exterior features. The role requires capturing accurate data, taking measurements, and inputting data while ensuring accuracy. Communication with property managers for access information is necessary, and remote communication with a Regional Manager is also required. The position offers autonomy, the ability to set a daily schedule, and is ideal for individuals who enjoy focused, independent, and self-directed work. Candidates with experience in mapping, property appraisal, inspections, GIS, data collection, data entry, land surveying, or outdoor fieldwork tend to excel. The role involves working outdoors in all weather conditions, climbing ladders up to 30 feet, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Technology proficiency with iPads, laptops, mobile apps, and photography is essential.

Requirements

  • Enjoy structured, independent work with autonomy.
  • Ability to travel out of state Monday–Friday (home most weekends).
  • Own a reliable vehicle capable of carrying a 6-foot ladder and long-distance travel.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to climb ladders up to 30 feet.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Confidently use technology (iPads, laptops, mobile apps, photography technology).
  • Follow detailed instructions with accuracy and care.
  • Stay focused, organized, and self-motivated while working alone.
  • Experience in mapping, property appraisal, inspections, GIS, data collection, data entry, land surveying, or outdoor fieldwork.
  • Experience in site surveys, inspections, CAD, or GIS mapping, and data entry.
  • Experience in construction, HVAC, electrical, or similar hands-on fields.
  • Experience in land surveying, utility locating, archaeology, drone photography, or other remote fieldwork.
