Field Data Specialist - Travel position

About The Position

This is a 100% travel role where you will independently drive or fly to commercial properties to capture precise data. You will use 3D cameras, laser measurement tools, and specialized software to document building measurements, utility locations, interior and exterior features, and more. Most of your time will be spent gathering data, taking measurements, and inputting data accurately. Communication with property managers for access and arrival times is necessary, and you will also communicate remotely with your Regional Manager. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys focused, independent, and self-directed work, is comfortable with technology, and enjoys working solo.

Requirements

  • Ability to travel out of state Monday–Friday (home most weekends).
  • Own a reliable vehicle capable of carrying a 6-foot ladder and long-distance travel.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to climb ladders up to 30 feet.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable using technology (iPads, laptops, mobile apps, photography technology).
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions with accuracy and care.
  • Ability to stay focused, organized, and self-motivated while working alone.
  • Comfortable assertively and proactively reaching out to your Regional Manager.
  • Comfortable asking questions to trainers, mentors, and peers.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in mapping, property appraisal, inspections, GIS, data collection, data entry, land surveying, or other outdoor, detail-oriented fieldwork.
  • Experience in site surveys, inspections, CAD, or GIS mapping, and data entry.
  • Experience in construction, HVAC, electrical, or similar hands-on fields.
  • Experience in land surveying, utility locating, archaeology, drone photography, or other remote fieldwork.
  • Veterans are welcome.

Responsibilities

  • Independently drive or fly to commercial properties to capture precise data.
  • Use 3D cameras, laser measurement tools, and specialized software to document building measurements, sprinkler and HVAC locations, windows, signage, landscaping, utility meters, dumpsters, parking details, and interior/exterior features.
  • Gather data and take measurements.
  • Input data while ensuring accuracy.
  • Communicate with property managers to gather access information for appointments and arrival times.
  • Communicate remotely and professionally with your Regional Manager, trainers, mentors, and peers.
