This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy focused, independent work and prefer a self-directed role. Candidates with experience in mapping, property appraisal, inspections, GIS, data collection, data entry, land surveying, or any outdoor, detail-oriented fieldwork tend to excel. The role requires comfort with ladders (up to 30 feet), an appreciation for technology, and enjoyment of working solo. It involves 100% travel, primarily regional, with most weekends at home. All major travel expenses, including lodging, fuel, meals, and mileage, are fully covered. The company provides all necessary equipment, from advanced tech devices to measurement tools, to enable efficient independent work. The role offers autonomy and the ability to set up much of the daily schedule. Responsibilities include traveling out of state Monday-Friday, using a reliable personal vehicle capable of carrying a 6-foot ladder and long-distance travel, working outdoors in all weather conditions, climbing ladders up to 30 feet, lifting up to 50 lbs, using technology confidently (iPads, laptops, mobile apps, photography technology), and following detailed instructions with accuracy and care. The day-to-day involves independently driving or flying to commercial properties to capture precise data using 3D cameras, laser measurement tools, and specialized software. This data includes building measurements, sprinkler and HVAC locations, windows, signage, landscaping, utility meters, dumpsters, and parking details, as well as interior and exterior features. Time is primarily spent gathering data, taking measurements, and inputting data accurately. Communication with property managers for access information is necessary, and remote communication with a Regional Manager, trainers, mentors, and peers is expected to be brief, professional, and clear.
