Field CTO, US

Mistral•San Francisco, CA

About The Position

Mistral provides full-stack AI solutions, including frontier models, developer tools, applications, and compute. The company partners with enterprises in high-stakes industries to co-create customized AI systems that customers can run on their own terms. Its distributed, collaborative teams work across Europe, North America, Asia, and the Middle East. The Field CTO is a senior external technical voice for Mistral, engaging enterprise boards, CIOs, and CTOs as a peer. The role shapes strategic accounts’ AI strategies, represents Mistral at major industry events, and publishes thought leadership about the direction of AI. Working closely with regional sales leadership, the Field CTO shares insights from executive conversations with Mistral’s product teams. This is an externally facing, influence-driven role measured by relationships built, content published, and executive conversations advanced. The role leads Mistral’s Executive Briefing Center with the regional VP, builds trusted-advisor relationships with senior enterprise technology leaders, publishes articles and whitepapers, briefs Gartner and Forrester on Mistral’s roadmap and market position, tracks frontier research, and represents Mistral at conferences. It also brings customer feedback about governance requirements and deployment constraints into product direction.
