About The Position

The Field Crew Lead performs and oversees tree and shrub care services on residential and commercial properties. Working alongside the crew, this customer-facing role manages daily job-site execution and represents Joshua Tree Experts. The Crew Lead communicates professionally with homeowners, property managers, sales arborists, supervisors, and crew members, with a focus on safety, efficiency, quality service, and client satisfaction.

Requirements

At least 5 years of tree care experience, including pruning, trimming, and removals.
Excellent understanding of tree care operations and safety practices.
Ability to climb and navigate trees safely and efficiently.
Extensive knowledge of tree species, plant diseases, and proper care techniques.
Proficiency in operating and maintaining equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, and stump grinders.
Strong problem-solving and on-the-job decision-making abilities.
Strong communication skills with clients, team members, and supervisors.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

CDL-B license.
ISA Certified Arborist.

Responsibilities

Perform and delegate arboriculture services, including tree risk assessment, pruning, removal, cabling, bracing, and growth management.
Safely operate specialized machinery, including Spyder lifts, bucket lifts, loaders, and various saws.
Oversee daily job-site execution to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
Learn, understand, and enforce company safety rules and regulations.
Monitor, maintain, and properly care for assigned equipment, tools, and machinery.
Communicate clearly and professionally with crew members, supervisors, and sales arborists.
Interact directly with clients during service delivery to ensure satisfaction.
