About The Position

Atlantic Tower Services, Inc. is seeking a dependable, organized, and hands-on Field Construction Supervisor to join our Telecom team. The Field Construction Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily construction activities at assigned job sites to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in accordance with company standards, project specifications, and applicable codes and regulations. This position provides hands-on leadership to field employees and subcontractors while coordinating with Project Managers, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders. This is a traveling field position. The employee should expect to travel regularly to various project locations and be away from home for several days at a time during the workweek. Depending on project requirements, travel may also include multiple overnight stays and extended periods away from home throughout the month and year. Candidates must be willing and able to accommodate the travel demands of the position.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively and stay overnight as required.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety requirements, and jobsite operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under deadlines.
  • Ability to identify problems and make sound decisions in the field.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, climbing, and lifting.
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to navigate active construction sites and uneven surfaces.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to safely perform job duties in a construction environment.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of construction field experience preferred.
  • Previous supervisory, foreman, or lead construction experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction/project management software preferred.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee field crews and subcontractors on assigned projects, providing daily direction, monitoring productivity, and ensuring work is performed according to company and project standards.
  • Manage daily activities at construction sites, ensuring work progresses according to project schedules, plans, specifications, and established quality standards.
  • Ensure crews follow company safety policies, OSHA requirements, PPE requirements, and site-specific safety procedures; address safety concerns promptly and participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings.
  • Ensure crews have the proper tools, equipment, materials, and vehicles needed to perform their work efficiently; coordinate deliveries and address shortages or equipment issues.
  • Track project progress and communicate delays, concerns, additional work, or potential change orders to management; provide regular updates regarding project status and field conditions.
  • Inspect completed and ongoing work to ensure it meets company standards, project specifications, and customer expectations; identify deficiencies and ensure corrective action is completed.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, customers, subcontractors, vendors, and other personnel to ensure projects remain on schedule and issues are resolved efficiently.
  • Monitor employee attendance, productivity, workmanship, and job performance; provide coaching and direction to field employees as needed.
  • Complete daily reports, jobsite documentation, time records, material records, safety documentation, and other paperwork accurately and timely.
  • Identify jobsite issues and develop practical solutions while communicating significant concerns to the appropriate management personnel.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite; ensure tools, equipment, materials, and vehicles are properly maintained and secured.
  • Maintain professional relationships with customers, general contractors, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders while representing Atlantic Tower Services positively in the field.
  • Travel to various project locations and provide field supervision and support as required.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
