About The Position

Accenture Construct is seeking a Field Construction Manager to serve as the lead field representative, acting as an extension of the owner's staff. This role involves full-time on-site oversight of the CMAR and subcontractors throughout demolition, construction, commissioning, FF&E installation, turnover, and closeout. The position requires monitoring site safety, leading meetings, managing project documentation, tracking schedule performance, reviewing potential change orders, and coordinating inspections and testing. The role is based on-site at client locations, with flexibility offered to support work/life needs.

Requirements

Minimum 6+ years of construction management, field management, or superintendent experience on commercial or education projects, including at least 3 years in a lead field role.
Demonstrated experience overseeing a general contractor or Construction Manager at Risk on ground-up or major renovation projects, preferably from the owner's representative or CM agency side.
Strong working knowledge of construction means and methods, contract documents, submittal and RFI processes, CPM schedules, payment applications, and change order management.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) and construction project management and document tools such as Procore, Plan Grid, Bluebeam, Kahua, or similar platforms.
Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Ability to successfully pass federal and state (MD, DC, VA) criminal background checks and a sex offender registry search, as required by the client.
Valid driver's license and the ability to report daily to a client campus in Prince George's County, Maryland.
The ability to stand, sit and walk throughout the day; bend, crawl, climb (ladders, stairs, hills, etc.) and reach overhead; ability to lift 40 pounds or more and to comply with personal protective equipment requirements and to endure extreme physical temperatures as well as experience loud noises and fumes on project sites.

Responsibilities

Serve as Accenture's lead field representative, acting as an extension of the owner's staff and reporting to the Senior Project Manager throughout demolition, construction, commissioning, FF&E installation, turnover, and closeout.
Provide full-time on-site oversight of the CMAR and subcontractors, observing work for conformance with drawings, specifications, and contract documents; documenting deficiencies; and recommending rejection of nonconforming work in coordination with the A/E team.
Monitor site safety, review contractor safety programs for regulatory compliance, and escalate concerns; maintain an on-site presence during normal construction hours; and support additional hours or emergencies as needed.
Lead or co-lead progress, coordination, pre-installation, and staff meetings; manage RFIs, submittals, product data, samples, and project documentation, including drawings, specifications, addenda, change orders, and as-builts.
Track CMAR schedule performance against actual field progress, document milestones and delays, identify critical-path risks, and support monthly schedule updates, Time Impact Analyses, payment reviews, and prevailing-wage compliance.
Provide field review of Potential Change Orders and CORs, verify conditions and extra work, document time-and-material activities, collect supporting tickets, and maintain daily photographic records and progress documentation.
Coordinate code and third-party inspections, FF&E and technology/low-voltage installations, startup, commissioning, testing, and owner training; participate in final inspections and turnover activities.
Co-manage punch lists, nonconformance logs, corrective actions, substantial/final completion, warranty issues, and post-occupancy activities, while adapting Construction Manager responsibilities as directed by the Project Manager or Supervisor.
