About The Position

The Field Communications Technician is responsible for supporting and maintaining critical communications infrastructure across the Company’s oil and gas operations. This position installs, troubleshoots, maintains, and upgrades field communications equipment supporting operational technology (OT), SCADA, and business-critical network connectivity. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, technically inclined, and comfortable working independently at remote field locations. This position requires travel throughout Texas and other operating areas as business needs require.

Requirements

Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Willingness and ability to travel based on business and operational needs.
Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate a Company vehicle.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and field conditions.
Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience with wireless communication systems, industrial networking, telecommunications, or SCADA environments.
Familiarity with INET radios, TransNET radios, Ubiquiti products, Peplink routers, and Starlink systems.
Knowledge of IP networking, routing, and wireless communications.
Previous oil and gas or midstream industry experience.
Experience supporting remote communications infrastructure.
