About The Position

WECTEC Staffing Services, a subsidiary of Westinghouse Electric Company LLC, is seeking a Field Operations Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mobile radio systems and field communications infrastructure across a diverse fleet of vehicles and facilities throughout Colorado. This is a hands-on field role that combines vehicle radio installations with a variety of infrastructure support activities, including power systems, UPS installations, grounding and bonding, equipment upgrades, and general field operations support. The role requires travel throughout Colorado, with a company vehicle, computer, and installation tools provided.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Experience working with vehicle electrical systems (12V/24V).
  • Experience installing, troubleshooting, or repairing mobile electronics, communications equipment, or vehicle accessories.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Experience using hand tools, test equipment, voltmeters, and related tools.
  • Ability to travel throughout Colorado.

Responsibilities

  • Install and troubleshoot mobile radios in fleet vehicles and facilities.
  • Perform wiring, cable routing, equipment mounting, and system testing.
  • Support DC power system installation and maintenance.
  • Install and maintain UPS systems and related equipment.
  • Perform grounding and bonding for communications and electrical systems.
  • Support radio system upgrades and communications infrastructure projects.
  • Troubleshoot power, radio, and equipment-related service tickets.
  • Operate electrical testing equipment and hand tools safely.
  • Help with generator maintenance and field equipment support.
  • Create Bills of Material (BOMs) and support project planning.
  • Maintain inventory of equipment and materials.
  • Document existing equipment, field conditions, and completed work.
  • Maintain site records and equipment lifecycle information.
  • Support cable management, rack upgrades, and site refresh projects.
  • Travel throughout Colorado to perform field installations and service work.
