About The Position

The Field Chief Technology Officer is a senior technical leader and trusted advisor to Quilr’s enterprise customers. The role helps security and technology leaders understand the risks of adopting AI at scale, shape AI security strategies, and translate those strategies into practical architectures and deployments using Quilr. It operates across customer strategy, product direction, enterprise architecture, and technical go-to-market execution. This highly customer-facing leadership role engages executives, CISOs, CTOs, AI leaders, architects, and engineering teams. The Field CTO leads strategic technical conversations, supports high-impact evaluations and deployments, and brings customer insights to Quilr’s product and engineering organization. The role requires executive-level communication, technical credibility, and practical knowledge of designing, deploying, and operating secure AI systems. The Field CTO advises enterprise customers on AI security strategy and adoption; leads executive briefings, technical strategy sessions, and architecture workshops; and guides enterprise AI security architectures and complex technical validations. The role also connects customer requirements to product opportunities, contributes to product strategy and technical best practices, supports strategic go-to-market efforts, and represents Quilr through customer engagements and thought leadership. Candidates must have active, valid US work authorization. Quilr is unable to provide visa sponsorship. This is a remote role, with travel expectations for strategic customer meetings and industry events to be confirmed during the hiring process.

  • Strong understanding of modern AI systems, including LLM-powered applications, AI agents, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and the operational challenges of enterprise AI deployment.
  • Strong foundation in enterprise architecture, cloud platforms, APIs, distributed systems, identity and access management, and application security.
  • Ability to explain AI security threats and mitigations—including prompt injection, unsafe tool use, data exposure, and agent permissions—in clear business and technical terms.
  • Experience supporting complex technical evaluations, solution architecture, strategic customer engagements, or enterprise technology adoption.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence product direction by translating customer needs into actionable technical insights.
  • Excellent executive communication, presentation, facilitation, and written communication skills.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-moving startup environment, working across functions, and navigating ambiguity.
  • Active, valid US work authorization; visa sponsorship is unavailable.

  • Provide senior technical oversight for strategic proof-of-concept engagements, architecture reviews, and complex enterprise deployments.
  • Help customer teams define technical success criteria and assess security, scalability, reliability, and operational requirements.
  • Partner with Solutions Engineers, AI Solutions Architects, and Field Developers to resolve complex evaluation and implementation challenges.
  • Translate real-world customer requirements into product opportunities and share recurring architectural challenges, emerging threats, and enterprise adoption gaps with product and engineering teams.
  • Contribute to product strategy, roadmap discussions, reference architectures, and technical best practices; validate product direction with customers and communicate field learnings to engineering.
