About The Position

This role is part of the Career Accelerator Program (CAP) at Texas Instruments (TI), which offers professional and technical training to accelerate your integration into TI and ensure long-term career success. Within CAP, there's function-specific technical training and hands-on learning opportunities designed to help you solve problems from day one. The FAST (Field Applications & Sales Training) Program specifically prepares team members for customer-oriented careers, blending technical skills with business acumen. The program aims to help participants understand how to grow TI's business and thrive throughout their careers. There are two tracks within FAST: Field Applications and Technical Sales. The Field Applications Engineer track is a 12-month program designed to develop FAEs into technical experts for both customers and internal teams. It includes three rotations: Rotation 1 (Field Sales Office) focuses on working directly with customers to solve technical challenges and maximize revenue by providing optimal system-level solutions, analyzing technical trade-offs, understanding component selection, and addressing design and cost challenges. Rotation 2 (Mass Market) trains FAEs on scaling actions across multiple customers within a sector or EE, involving innovative projects to create efficient sales processes, leveraging TI resources, practicing scalable selling techniques, making decisions in uncertain circumstances, and direct customer interactions. Rotation 3 (Business Unit/Systems Engineering & Marketing) provides hands-on experience in how TI components integrate into systems-level solutions for customer designs, with training on business acumen, technical capabilities, and new product introduction processes. This rotation emphasizes technical product selection, schematic/layout capture, PCB layouts, fabrication processes, and board bring-up and validation. Upon successful completion of this track, participants become FAEs on TI's Worldwide Sales & Applications team.
