The Field Applications Engineer is primarily responsible for cultivating business opportunities through activities such as technical product application support, product demonstrations, joint calls with sales personnel, direct customer visits, and product training. The FAE diligently expands IronRidge's network of influence and leverages their expertise to continually promote the IronRidge value proposition. Plan territory technical sales visits, events, trainings Generate training reports to ensure all customer and sales engagements are being accounted for and captured Coordinate and provide on-the-job (OJT) training for new opportunities on the ground and rooftop Provide customer feedback on improvements to products and/or training content. Leverage professional network, coordinating training and with non-competing solar manufacturers in an effort to generate product demand. Organize and assist in the development of curriculum for new products/services, including reference library, multimedia visual aids, and other educational material Maintain records as needed and report on relevant changes in the weekly meeting to keep everyone appraised of changes in products, market trends, and code compliance. Regularly report on competitive landscape of region and other market intelligence Design PV layouts in IR and other PV design software to support Sales, Distributors, and End Users Accurately document application support questions and calls Provides feedback to Engineering and Product Teams for product development Perform any additional duties as assigned.
