About The Position

As an Applications Engineer, you will bridge the gap between cutting-edge technology and customer success. In this role, you’ll drive the development, optimization, and integration of our tools into customer workflows, ensuring maximum performance and value. By collaborating closely with customers and internal teams, you’ll translate technical requirements into actionable solutions, refine applications, and contribute to the growth of our revolutionary technology. UNISERS AG is a dynamic startup spun out of ETH Zurich, dedicated to solving the semiconductor industry’s most pressing challenge: contamination control. We’re scaling rapidly to bring our groundbreaking technology to market—and we’re looking for talented individuals to join us on this journey.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related technical field, with hands-on experience in analytical methods for nanoparticles and surfaces.
• Strong background in semiconductor-grade material testing, contamination control, or application development for R&D or manufacturing environments.
• Experience in developing, troubleshooting, or optimizing advanced analytical tools in high-tech settings.
• Proficiency in data analysis (Python is a plus).
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality results with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; fluency in Mandarin is essential for this role.
• Knowledge of local semiconductor manufacturing standards and facilities in Taiwan.

Responsibilities

• Engage directly with customers to understand their processes, challenges, and goals, and provide expert guidance on integrating and optimizing UNISERS tools for their specific applications.
• Take ownership of developing and refining applications through in-house lab tests, on-site experiments, workflow optimization, and tailored solutions that maximize the value of our technology for customers.
• Drive customer projects by aligning customer needs with internal objectives, ensuring milestones are met, and delivering outcomes that achieve shared goals.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, analyze data, and propose innovative solutions to enhance tool performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
• Document findings, share insights with internal teams, and contribute to the creation of training materials and best practices for customers and colleagues.
• Present technical concepts clearly and professionally to both customers and internal stakeholders, fostering collaboration and understanding.
