About The Position

NVIDIA is seeking a Field Applications Engineer specializing in datacenter system and network design for AI computing. The role provides onsite technical engagement for large datacenter deployments of NVIDIA AI computing systems, working across internal teams and with external customers to deliver a positive customer experience. The engineer serves as a technical specialist on GPU and networking products and supports sales teams and customers developing enterprise AI solutions.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
At least 8 years of work-related experience in the high-tech electronics industry in a system design or technical customer support role.
In-depth knowledge of servers, storage systems, network devices, and other datacenter hardware.
Ability to work in a constantly evolving environment while maintaining focus.
Ability to multitask effectively in a multifaceted environment.
Expert analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong time-management and organizational skills to coordinate multiple initiatives, priorities, and implementations of new technology and products in sophisticated projects.
Strong written and oral communication skills in English, including the ability to collaborate effectively with management and engineering.

Nice To Haves

Experience with large-scale rollouts of datacenter equipment.
Networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, RDMA, RoCE, NICs, and switches.
C/C++ and Python programming skills.
Knowledge of embedded Linux systems, APIs, and similar embedded operating systems.
Experience working with OEMs in the industrial, military, and ruggedized computing space.

Responsibilities

Provide onsite support for large datacenter deployments of NVIDIA AI solutions.
Resolve complex hardware and deployment issues.
Serve as a technical specialist on GPU and networking products, supporting sales account managers and working with the team to deliver AI datacenter solutions.
Establish technical relationships with customer engineers, management, and architects at focus accounts.
Identify customer architectures and key product requirements in the enterprise AI market.
Provide technical and sales training to the direct sales team and channel partners.
Establish strong relationships and communication channels with internal teams.
