About The Position

Chris-Craft is seeking a Fiberglass Cutter/Grinder to join its Lamination team in a manufacturing environment. The role supports the quality and craftsmanship of the company’s luxury boats by cutting and grinding fiberglass parts, learning to operate a Zund cutting machine, and following work instructions and drawings. The employee will cross-train in multiple cutting areas and work with a team while maintaining a safe and clean work environment. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with some Fridays.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred; technical certifications are a plus.
• Experience with fiberglass and basic hand tools is helpful.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to stay on task.
• Good vision and attendance record.
• Ability to wear a respirator and work in environments requiring personal protective equipment.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varied positions.

Nice To Haves

• Technical certifications.
• Experience with fiberglass and basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Grind and cut fiberglass parts with precision and care.
• Learn and operate tools, including the Zund cutting machine.
• Read and follow work instructions and drawings accurately.
• Use overlays to lay out and mark parts before cutting.
• Drill holes and perform cuts using pneumatic and hand tools.
• Cross-train in multiple cutting areas and collaborate with the team.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
