Fiber Optic Splicing Technician Trainee/Apprentice
About The Position
Celerity Integrated Services, located in Quakertown, PA, designs, builds, services and maintains fiber optic and wireless infrastructure. Fiber optic infrastructure is the technology that drives broadband, the Internet, streaming services, wireless communications and a host of future technologies such as smart cities and smart power grids. We are currently looking for Fiber Optic Technician Trainees/Apprentices to fill skilled labor positions and begin a career in an ever-growing and evolving industry. If you enjoy working outdoors with your hands and learning new skills, a career in fiber optic infrastructure may be an excellent fit for you. We are looking for candidates who have a strong work ethic, critical thinking skills and the ability to retain information to take part in our paid training program. An apprenticeship to Certified Journey Worker program is also available. Our apprenticeship program is a 4-year program that is certified by the State of Pennsylvania. Starting salary is $22.00-$23.00 per hour for both. You would be hired as a full-time employee with benefits. Celerity offers free health insurance to its full-time employees.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
- Must have a current, valid driver's license.
- Strong work ethic.

- Ability to lift heavy equipment (75+ pounds).
- Ability to climb poles (with training).

- Ability to distinguish colors and shades.
- Ability to work in an outdoor construction environment including exposure to heavy equipment noise, dust, summer, and winter conditions.
- Ability to travel on an as-needed basis.
- Ability to stay overnight when required.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, service and maintain fiber optic and wireless infrastructure.

- Take part in a paid training program.
- Participate in a 4-year apprenticeship program certified by the State of Pennsylvania (if applicable).
