The mill has a strong safety record, achieving over one million consecutive hours without a lost-time injury in 2018 and 584,000 hours in 2021. Our facility is seeking qualified individuals for the role of Reliability Engineer/Project Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BAC) in Electrical Engineering or a related field (an asset).
  • A candidate with a College Diploma (DEC) in Electrical Engineering with relevant experience may be considered.
  • Knowledge of Office software, SAP, and MS Project (an asset).
  • Good analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Versatile, autonomous, resourceful, and available.
  • Recognized as a safety-conscious individual with no compromise on safety.
  • Recognized interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement long-term maintenance plans for plant assets.
  • Ensure optimal use of resources (equipment, labor, supplies, etc.).
  • Organize and plan maintenance work during plant shutdowns.
  • Review or establish inspection plans for critical plant equipment.
  • Draft and create funding requests related to annual shutdowns and capital projects.
  • Manage contractors on-site for the execution of capital and maintenance projects for which they are responsible.
  • Be responsible for planning stages related to the preparation schedule for major plant shutdowns.
  • Ensure all operations related to the work under their supervision comply with standardized plant methods, applicable codes, standards, laws, and regulations for industrial facilities and equipment used in the pulp and paper sector.
  • Ensure particular attention to compliance with environmental standards and HSE regulations in all their mandates.
