About The Position

In this stimulating role, you will work closely with our clients, client project managers, and engineers from various functional groups within the product development department. You will be the primary point of contact between Nova Bus engineering and our clients. Your initial mandate is to establish technical requirements and identify client adaptations to be developed within the project scope according to established deadlines. You will be responsible for coordinating the technical aspects of client projects to ensure product compliance with the client's technical specifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant project management experience.
  • Experience in planning/estimating mechanical and electrical engineering projects.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) given our predominantly English-speaking clientele.
  • Good command of the Microsoft Office suite, and knowledge of an MRP system.
  • Knowledge of MS Project.
  • Autonomy, resourcefulness.
  • Effective management of projects and priorities.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communicator and good team spirit.
  • Ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with client project managers and our clients to establish contract details and conditions.
  • Handle communications with Nova Bus clients.
  • Define the configuration to be developed according to client specifications.
  • Identify development activities to be performed.
  • Perform required follow-ups to meet milestones associated with product development team deliverables.
  • Define the plan for carrying out engineering activities with functional managers (MS Project).
  • Identify specific requirements and performance targets for the product development group.
  • Coordinate technical exchanges within the development project.
  • Manage technical changes on client projects.
  • Ensure compliance with technical specifications and the offer.
  • Conduct compliance audits against client requirements and coordinate actions with various departments and our suppliers.
  • Negotiate resolutions for technical compliance issues with the client.
