Opportunity Summary: Join a strong and established building electrical team of over 50 professionals based in Montreal, led by Marie-Pier Ste-Croix Marquis, recently appointed Director of Electrical Engineering. She followed a great career path at BPA and succeeds the previous director, now in the role of Vice President of Canadian Electrical Engineering. This role is ideal for someone with the experience and interest to share their knowledge, develop and grow the team, advance technical expertise, and manage major impact projects of various sizes, including new construction, complete project management, and significant mandates supported by BPA's internal experts. Depending on experience and interests, the position offers opportunities in team management, mentoring, or in-depth technical expertise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
  • Eight years or more of relevant experience in a consulting engineering firm in a building electrical engineering role
  • Experience in coordination or management of building projects
  • Proficiency in French and functional or advanced level of English
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office 365 suite
  • Autonomy, organizational skills, teamwork, and client orientation

Nice To Haves

  • A mastery of English is essential due to participation in commercial projects outside Quebec and national projects where all meetings and documentation are exclusively in English.

Responsibilities

  • Design, coordinate, and supervise building electrical projects of various scopes
  • Act as project and discipline lead, from planning to delivery
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners
  • Understand client needs and propose adapted solutions
  • Ensure follow-up of schedules, budgets, and fees
  • Write specifications, technical reports, and service proposals
  • Participate in pre-project expertise assessments
  • Support work supervision
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of practices
