This role is responsible for overseeing inbound and outbound operations within a distribution center. The supervisor ensures associates comprehend and execute safe work practices, identifies and resolves safety issues, and addresses escalated safety concerns. They determine daily workload, monitor inventory flow, and expedite the receiving, picking, and shipping of priority products. This position involves researching and resolving pick and ship errors, training associates on equipment, and completing incident reports for various workplace events. The supervisor also identifies and implements process improvements, monitors staffing needs, conducts shift briefings, and communicates effectively with associates regarding business objectives and current issues. They monitor individual and team productivity, drive continuous improvement through coaching, and approve off-standard hours. Goal setting, clear expectation communication, and constructive feedback are key aspects of this role, as is providing developmental opportunities for associates and fostering an engaged and inclusive work environment. The supervisor participates in the hiring process, trains new and existing employees, resolves conflicts, and leads associates through change. They respond to incidents and injuries, ensuring first aid is administered, and collaborate with other operational shifts for consistency.
