Training associates on equipment, documenting proficiency, and addressing equipment issues are also key functions. The supervisor is responsible for completing incident reports, identifying and implementing process improvements, and monitoring staffing needs. They will conduct shift briefings, communicate business objectives, monitor productivity, and drive continuous improvement through coaching. Approving off-standard hours, setting clear expectations, providing feedback, and fostering developmental opportunities for associates are crucial. The role also involves participating in the hiring process, training new hires, resolving associate conflicts, sponsoring change initiatives, and responding to incidents. Collaboration with other operational shifts is essential for consistent processes.
