About The Position

As a Fence Helper at National Construction Rentals, Inc. (NCR), you will play a crucial role in assisting the Fence Foreman to ensure the successful installation and maintenance of fences according to company standards. Your responsibilities include supporting all aspects of fence operations, maintaining a safe work environment, and upholding high levels of customer satisfaction. You will represent NCR professionally while adhering to safety protocols and contributing to a positive team dynamic. This role involves conducting daily inspections and testing of vehicles and equipment, loading trucks with necessary materials, attending job sites with the Foreman to meet customers and review project details, installing fence poles, erecting fences, and tensioning wire to NCR specifications. Additionally, you will be responsible for thoroughly cleaning job sites, removing debris, ensuring all equipment is properly stored on the truck upon completion of work, and cleaning and maintaining trucks while restocking materials for future fence installations. Adherence to safety protocols, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and participating in all required safety meetings are essential.

Requirements

Proficiency in following detailed instructions and making occasional independent decisions.
Capability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operational manuals, and maintenance instructions.
Competence in performing mathematical calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
Application of common-sense reasoning to effectively execute detailed written and verbal instructions.
Must have a valid driver’s license with a Motor Vehicle Record within company guidelines.
For positions that require driving a vehicle with a GVWR of 10,000 lbs. or more, incumbent must be at least 21 years old and possess a DOT medical card.

Clean job sites thoroughly, remove debris, and ensure all equipment is properly stored on the truck upon completion of work.
Clean and maintain trucks, restocking materials for future fence installations.
Always adhere to safety protocols, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and participate in all required safety meetings.
